Hotel Booking Wherever You Need To Travel

HotelsOperator would like to offer you these tips before you do any hotel booking. Whether you are looking for a five-star hotel in Dubai or a cheap hotel in L.A., you'll want to make sure to think about the following things.

Some Advice Before You Do Your Hotel Booking

  • Check the reviews. A hotel's star rating or price may not correspond with how other travelers experienced them. There are some very expensive, poorly-rated hotels in Dubai, for example and some well-liked, cheap two-star hotels in Bangkok and Bahrain.
  • Find the hotel on a map. It isn't enough to know the general area or street address of the hotel. You'll need to see how you would get from the hotel to the places you intend to visit. You'll also want to find out if there are any public transportation stops (like subway, bus or rail) nearby to make traveling through the city easier. In L.A. for example, what seem like easy routes may only be easy if you have a car.
  • Double-check your dates. Some Internet deals and specials are specifically non-refundable and charged at the time of booking, not at the time of check-in. If your booking was of this type, then canceling your reservation does not mean you won't be paying for it. Other establishments will allow you to cancel your reservations within a certain timeframe (usually 24 hours or more before the scheduled check-in day) but will charge you a cancellation fee (sometimes equal to one night's stay). Either way, you'll want to avoid these unnecessary expenses if at all possible.
